It's white, cold, and more of a pain in the ass than anything. Just like my ex.

It's both fun and a massive pain in the ass at the same time. I'd recommend a road trip somewhere icy and frigid for a day or two, then you'll be more than ready to head home.

Depends on the time of year.

Summer, there's festivals all over. No really, we're somewhat known for that. Probably due to how "holy fucksocks it's cold" it gets in the winter. There's a music jam of some sort almost every day of the week, and the big name music acts come through here all the time (KISS seems to come here every year, likely due to Shannon Tweed living here). There's B'nB's all over the province and the further south you go, the more varied and beautiful the landscape is. It's not British Columbia beautiful, but as opposed to almost any place in BC, the light pollution here is quite minimal, so you'll be blown away by not only how many stars you can actually see, but you'll likely see the Northern Lights.

I'll keep that in mind, looks like a pain just trying to get around. And that's assuming everyone has a fresh set of snow tires and have good driving skills, which I have learned to be 100,% not the case

sweeeet! I live in Houston..

Kinja'd!!!

we have all sorts of pollution lol. Big music acts come all the time but at an avg. of $80 USD a ticket, it isn't worth it. If you are into commercial industry, this is the town for you. The summer consists of 100+ degree F summers at around 95% humidity in a very large concrete city. Once my fiance moves to the US with me, we will definitely talk about visiting any part of Canada. You made a good case for Saskatchewan. I know she has mentioned it before :] Keep warm buddy

By itself not really, but when some people use shovels or dirty brushes to clear the snow off it can scratch the paint.

Kinja'd!!! PRBot II > EL_ULY
12/08/2013 at 17:38

Kinja'd!!!0

Plus down in TX, you can run summer tires all year. Up north, those winter tires are just an added expense. Oh and sliding out and crashing into a snow bank adds to the bills too. I miss Florida... I'll be back some day.

that's true for the most part. Northern side does experience 4 seasons. I've never had a bad experience in FL. Besides Miami, FL is pretty rad.

oh yes, soooo true :] Freeport is empty as well. I'll get the long boogie board out the garage, tie it to a long ass rope, hook it on the back of the car, and see who stays on the longest :]

Try digging your car out for an hour, at 4am, because you work at quarter to 7, and then when you just about finished, the plow comes by and blocks you in. Another 30 minutes of shoveling! Huzzah!

Kinja'd!!! thebigbossyboss > EL_ULY
12/09/2013 at 08:21

Kinja'd!!!0

Yeah. The hardest part in my opinion is the narrowing of the roads. 3 lane roads become 2, 2 become 1, depending on the size of the snow banks.

Kinja'd!!! EL_ULY > thebigbossyboss
12/09/2013 at 10:00

Kinja'd!!!0

damn, that plus like you said "digging your car out at 4am" just sounds like a pain in the ass. Not a winter wonderland happy face rainbows as it seems. I guess some light snow is rad but not the cluster fuck during the work week

Kinja'd!!! thebigbossyboss > Dusty Ventures

I wish I had a lil plow!

Last year at my girlfriends mom's we had to dig ourselves out of 2 feet of snow...for 200-300 ft in length. That's about 2400 sq ft of snow. On average you take half a sq foot per shovel.
